Lietuvos Energija Group published its Corporate Responsibility Report

Lietuvos Energija Group, one of the largest energy companies in the Baltic States published its Corporate Responsibility Report in which the Group presented the principles of responsible business and corporate management the Company has been implementing in the daily activities in 2015. This practice will now be maintained every year – the public will be presented consolidated reports of Corporate Responsibility of the entire state-managed Group.

EnePRO entrusted with repair works of three powerful transformers in Estonia

In the end of April EnePRO signed an agreement with the Estonian Transmission System Operator Elering regarding a repair of three powerful transformers. EnePRO will repair 330/110/10 kV, 110/35/10 kV and 110/10 kV power transformers located in three different cities in Estonia.

EnePRO started power substation modernization work in Birštonas

EnePRO has started a transformer substation reconstruction project in Birštonas upon the order of electricity and gas distribution company Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius (ESO). The modernization of the substation will ensure a reliable power supply to ESO customers.

Municipal representatives introduced with street lighting modernization opportunities

On 8th April, the company responsible for implementing ESCO projects – Energijos Sprendimų Centras –held a conference “Street Lighting Modernization: the Legal and Technical Aspects", which was attended by over 140 participants. EnePRO representatives also shared their experience in street lighting modernization with the event participants.

EnePRO professionals awarded with national awards

This year the most deserved Lithuanian energy sector workers were traditionally awarded on the occasion of the Energy Day. During the gala event at the Energy and Technology Museum which brought together around 200 employees, company leaders and government officials, the highest awards were received by professionals working at EnePRO as well.

The best sector specialists were congratulated by the Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius, the Minister of Energy Rokas Masiulis, President of National Lithuanian Energy Association and CEO of Lietuvos Energija Dalius Misiūnas.

EnePRO to build a 110 kV cable line in Estonia

In mid-April Estonian Transmision System Operator Elering has entrusted EnePRO electrical engineering specialists with the new 110 kV cable line construction works carried out in Tallinn. The new cable line that has a conductor cross-section of 1600 mm2 and is 6,35 km long, will replace the old 110 kV overhead line.

After building the new cable line, the old overhead line will be dismantled, thus freeing up large tracts of land in an urban area, while avoiding the distortion of the landscape and ensuring much higher reliability of a power supply.

EnePRO presented its products at the largest energy exhibition in France

On 15-17th March Nancy city in France hosted Salon Bois Energie – an international and the largest energy exhibition in France. EnePRO representatives attendend the exhibition as well and presented stacks, pressure vessels and industrial boiler elements produced by the company to the exhibition participants.

EnePRO undertakes the first ESCO street lighting modernization project in Lithuania

Around 70% of available and the most energy consuming street lights in Širvintos district municipality will be replaced with a modern LED lighting. This will be the first large-scale street lighting project based on ESCO model in Lithuania, implemented by Energijos Tiekimas, a member of Lietuvos Energija company group. It is estimated that modern technologies will allow the district municipality to save around 75% of energy consumed for street lighting every year. 360 ​​street lights will be modernized during the project. This task was entrusted to a subcontracting company EnePRO.

EnePRO steel workshop in Kaunas visited by Dutch LNG market experts

As a relative newcomer on the European liquefied natural gas (LNG) market, Lithuania and the Netherlands, having an extensive experience in the market are looking for cooperation and experience sharing opportunities. Dutch LNG market representatives visited the companies of the largest energy group in the country, Lietuvos Energija, and were particularly interested in future possibilities for cooperation in the development of technical LNG facilities in Lithuania.

New Name in Energy Contracting – EnePRO

On 1st January 2016, two energy service companies controlled by Lietuvos Energija group – Elektros Tinklo Paslaugos (ETP) and Kauno Energetikos Remontas (KER) – were merged into one. By merging the competence and experience of these two enterprises, a strong energy service and contracting company was created, which will ensure energy equipment construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance services – Energetikos Paslaugų ir Rangos Organizacija (acronym – EnePRO).

Lower prices for customers – greater value for Lietuvos Energija

During the three quarters of 2015, the State-managed group engaged in the improvement of value chain earned the highest ever comparative net profit of EUR 89.5 million, up by 9.1 % from the same time last year. The Group achieves better performance results even generating lower revenues. Due to its improved performance efficiency Lietuvos Energija Group is able to offer in 2016 more advantageous prices – for the next year the Company plans lower electricity tariffs, and grid access rates have been lowered since June.

Benefit of optimised Lietuvos Energija to reach EUR 64 mln

State-controlled energy company group Lietuvos Energija is about to complete the value chain improvement programme intended for the optimisation of the group’s structure and its main operational processes. The overall benefit of these changes for customers and shareholders is estimated to reach EUR 64 mln by the year 2020. The group structure will be changed by the end of the year and the merged companies will start operating on 1st January 2016.
